Timing Coordinator

In 2 Adventure is a specialist outdoor adventure sports event management company and timing and results are two of the most critical elements of a successful event.  The Timing Coordinator reports directly to the Race Director and is responsible for the management of all timing activities, equipment and production of accurate and timely results at assigned events.

The Timing Coordinator works independently during event operations and will also manage volunteers during event operations.  The Timing Coordinator position is a casual role and works before and during event days which can be on weekdays for set up and are mostly on weekends for events.

Location

The position is primarily based in South East Queensland, however, where required, travel to interstate events may be required.

Qualifications / Education

  • A strong working knowledge of Excel. Advanced qualifications preferred.
  • Strong computer skills. Qualifications preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and test timing equipment prior to event.
  • Manage and ensure the smooth running of timing activities during events.
  • Manage volunteers.
  • Provide 100% accurate and timely results post event.
  • Publish results post event.
  • Pack up timing equipment.
  • Customer service and experience.

Course / Transition Area Managers

In 2 Adventure is a specialist outdoor adventure sports event management company, the Course/Transition Area (TA) Manager reports directly to the Race Director and is responsible for the management of transition areas and/or course areas at assigned events.

The Course/TA Manager will work independently during event operations and will also manage volunteers and course marshals during event operations.  The Course/TA Manager position is a casual role and works before, during and after event days which are often on weekends.

Location

Course / Transition Area Manager Roles and required in Qld, NSW and Victoria in the following locations:

  • South East Qld – various locations
  • Port Stephens, NSW
  • Snowy Mountains, NSW
  • Bendigo, Vic

Qualifications / Education

  • Outdoor leader and/or outdoor qualifications preferred.
  • Minimum senior first aid qualification essential. Remote Area First Aid qualifications or higher preferred.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in working within the outdoor industry or in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in a people management role preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Full Driver’s license essential.
